The Ministry of Communication and Technology in support of the National Communication Authority (NCA) has announced the use of a self-service registration App (GH SIM SELF REG) that will aid registration in the comfort zone of all those who have not been able to register their sim card with the card.
According to Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Self Sim Registration App is an Application created for the second stage (after the subscriber has concluded *404# and received his Unique Code) of Ghana’s SIM Card registration exercise using the Ghana Card for now.

The National Communication Authority in a statement said that the Self Sim Registration App is for those who have already done Stage One of their SIM card registration to complete Stage
.The Self Sim Registration App provides another means for telecom subscribers to complete their SIM card re-registration using the Ghana Card at a GH¢ 5 charge.
